Black Hole or Black Hole, a very popular word of the past 10 years related to astronomy. I'm sure many of you who have heard this word spoken but I'm sure most of you do not really understand what Black Hole is. Many arguments about the Black Hole; Some say this is a dead star, this is a dark area that attracts all the material, and so forth. The opinions are not entirely wrong but if not explained in detail it will only cause confusion. This is a natural thing and therefore I will describe the Black Hole with simple words that can be understood by anyone.
A Black Hole is an area in space where the force of gravity is so strong that no material around it can escape its pull. I say "all matter" because the light can not escape the pull of the Black Hole's gravitational force! That is why the Black Hole can not be seen because an object is said to be visible or can be seen if the object reflects light that can be captured by the visual nerve. How the Black Hole can be seen if instead of reflecting light, the light is also absorbed exhausted!
If it can not be seen, then how can we detect the Black Hole? Scientists have been detecting the existence of a Black Hole by observing the behavior of stars around it. The stars that are around a Black Hole have different behaviors with other stars! They observed the behavior of the stars with the help of a special space telescope.
Black Hole Size
If we discuss about an object, then we can not be separated from the size, as well as with the Black Hole. Black Hole turned out to consist of various sizes; Small, medium, and large. According to scientists, the small Black Hole consists of only one atom. Although only composed of an atom, a smallest Black Hole has a very large mass, which is not proportional to its size. As an analogy imagine one atom of Black Hole has a mass of the mass of a mountain! Most Black Holes are not small. Most Black Holes are called "Black Hole Stars". A Black Hole Star can have a mass comparable to 20 times more solar mass! Very horrible is not it? In a galaxy there may be many Black Holes, since a galaxy alone consists of hundreds of billions of stars.
Giant Black Hole
The giant Black Hole is called the Supermasif. A Supermasif can have a mass comparable to more than 1 million solar masses! Can you imagine how much it weighs? The mass of the sun is two nonillion kilograms or approximately 332,946 times the mass of the earth. So a Supermasif can have approximately 330 million times the mass of the earth! Hmmm ... more unimaginable. Well, with regard to Supermasive, astronomers from around the world have agreed that every big galaxy has at least a Supermasif in its center. Supermasive in our galaxy, the Milky Way, called Sagittarius A has a mass equivalent to 4 million suns and the size of a "ball" that can hold millions of the earth.
How is it formed?
Astronomers argue that the smallest Black Hole formed together with the formation of the universe. This can not be separated from the so-called "Hydrostatic Imbalance". The opposite of the hydrostatic imbalance is the hydrostatic balance and this is defined as the pressure of releasing the star energy outward which is equal to the inward star gravity pressure. Hydrostatic imbalance occurs when the star's hydrogen fuel has run out so that the thermonuclear reaction (a reaction that converts hydrogen into helium) stops. The thermonuclear reaction stops means the release of star energy stops as well while the gravitational pressure remains.
As a result the star's mass will be sucked continuously into the center of the star so that the star's core will become very solid. Why is it so dense? Because the whole mass of star material gathered there. Well, one day the center of the star will not be able to withstand the constant star mass pressure and the star will explode. You can analogy with if you keep pumping balloons to exceed the maximum limit. What will happen? Surely exploding is not it? Well that also happens when a star experiences constant mass pressure at its core.
When a star dies or does not produce thermonuclear energy again, the reaction that occurs depends on the star's original mass. A small star like our sun if it explodes will turn into a neutron star. For you to know, every atomic mass has a volume composed mostly of electron clouds. Well if a small star becomes a neutron star, then its volume will shrink to the size of an ordinary planet. However there will be a balance between the star's gravitational force and the electron cloud force that will prevent further compression. The result is a kind of white dwarf star that has a very very dense mass.
We know that in the universe there are so many stars bigger than the sun. For stars that have much larger volumes than the sun, the resulting gravitational force will be so great that it defeats the electron cloud of each atom. The style of the electron cloud will not be able to withstand the gravitational force of the star's core so that compression continues and one day the star material will be damaged and eventually will explode. Well when it explodes, the giant stars will not turn into neutron stars but rather into an unspeakable theoretical point. This point can not be seen and leaves only gravity and a black hole centered in the area where the star was originally located. This is what is called the Black Hole, an area that has gravity so strong that no one escapes around it, including light!
Detects Black Hole
I explained earlier that scientists detected the existence of Black Hole by detecting differences in the behavior of the stars around it. But how the hell is the details? Well, when a star is near a Black Hole there will be a high light energy. An energy certainly can not be seen, nor is this light energy. This energy can only be detected with a special space telescope.
Will our earth be swallowed by the Black Hole?
The sun, because of its size, will not turn into a Black Hole. Therefore the earth and other planets in the solar system will not fall into the Black Hole. If the Sun becomes a Black Hole, he will not be able to pull the planets of the solar system into it either. This is strongly related to the original size of the sun.
Black Hole is a very interesting space phenomenon and raises a lot of speculation, one of which whether a Black Hole can be a way to the other space dimensions. Now, various space agencies, pioneered by NASA, are investigating further on the Black Hole phenomenon. With the advancement of space technology, perhaps humans can understand the other nature behind the existence of a Black Hole.
